The money has been taken out of my account but I have not received any confirmation of tickets and I have not received a PRN number to check the details of the flight. Your baggage for SpiceJet flight 51 to Dubai has been successfully checked in. Baggage tag numbers are 077526****, 077526****, 077526****, 077526**** This is the message I've received,but upon landing in Dubai I've found my luggage tampered and the bag locks all broken.This is highly unusual if the bag had been opened for custom check up,but it looked like someone tried to check the contents of the bag This is totally unacceptable and very inappropriate by the staff handling luggage and I request you to look into the matter . SpiceJet is the worst airline in the world. My last 5 spicejet experiences. 1 flight cancellation, 1 airport change, 3 flights depart delayed twice to thrice. SpiceJet interior experience is worst, their on-ground services are pathetic. Their customer service is unresponsive. Their timeliness is the worst. Please avoid this worst service provider if possible.

Dear Sir, I earnestly and urgently request your kind help in this matter. Please. Re : PNR IICL9U Round Trip MUM-DXB-MUM (SG-13 and SG-14) I am a 57 year old widow, holder of Indian Passport Number U943**** issued at Mumbai, Maharashtra, on 27/01/2021. Since 1989, in all the years that I held my passport, I only had the blessing to travel to the Holy Land in 2017, only because it was a concessional trip. That is why I was really overjoyed and excited to be invited by my younger sister, Mrs. Piety Fernandes to Dubai for a tourist visit. My sister paid for my round fare tickets and my visa and my insurance. Copies of the same are attached here for your perusal. It was only due to my sister's insistence and the thought of being with her family that I travelled to Dubai. I had a wonderful flight both to and from Dubai. The only hitch was my baggage was not loaded onto the Flight SG14 on my return on the 15th of June 2023. IF it had been loaded and picked up by me at Mumbai airport, I would not have been in this predicament. Due to the delay in loading and receiving my baggage, (tag Nos. 5836 and 5837) my bags were broken into and most of my purchases were stolen. Most of these stolen purchases were gifts by my sister and brother in law to my family back in India and to myself. If required, I can send you a copy of the card statement showing the purchases made for me. The condition of my bags was brought to the notice of the agent who delivered my baggage Mr. Jitendra Jha Mobile Number 932404**** he is witness to the condition my bags were delivered in. No airline has the authority to cut open a passengers bag the passenger has to be present in person. My bags were broken into and delivered to me sealed with zip ties. Due to the lax service of the airline, I have endured a lot of mental agony and the loss of several small but lovely artefacts bought from Dubai, besides my new pair of shoes, chocolates and corn beef tins. A couple of thousand Indian rupees were taken from my purse which was in the checked baggge. It is the duty of the airlines to ensure the passenger receives their bags in the same condition as entrusted to them at the time of check in. In my case, I am shocked to see the apathy of Spicejet. Numerous calls to the airlines were unanswered there is no help from the Gurgaon customer helpline number I was asked to wait for 48 hours, in which time my bags were ransacked. I request the airline to compensate me for my losses on sympathetic and humanitarian grounds as it was totally their fault, while at the same time bring the culprits to book. It was due to the delay in handing over my bags to me that the articles in my bags got stolen. I have put in several complaints to the Spicejet customer care helpline and also put in emails in writing but have yet to receive a response from Spicejet. Below is my written complaint to Spicejet. I once again implore Spicejet to look into the matter and recompensate me for my delayed / damaged baggage and stolen items to the tune of Rs. 50,000 minimum. I request your kind assistance in ensuring that I get the compensation from Spicejet. Thank you. c.c : customer relations - Spicejet. ----- My written complaint sent continuously to Spicejet since 15th June 2023. I, Mrs Flavia Magdalena Dourado flew back from Dubai to India on SG 14 on 15th June 2023. At the outset, I must praise the pilot who landed very efficiently inspite of the cloudy sky. Upon arrival in India, we were informed by the pilot that our bags could be picked up from carousel 4. I waited patiently and realised that both my checked in bags (weight 30.02 kg) had not arrived (Baggage tags 5836 and 5837). A confirmation was given to me at the airport that both my bags were not loaded at the Dubai airport. Why, may I ask ? If I have boarded the flight, why were my bags not loaded. If there was some discrepancy with the bags, I should have been informed of the same at the Dubai airport. As per regulations, Spicejet made me fill up a Baggage Irregularities form (Form No. 87815). My bags were delivered to me on 17th June 2023 by an agents delivery person Mr. Jitendra Jha. (Mobile Number 932404****). In his presence, I pointed out that both bags had been secured by zip ties. Both bags had the combination locks broken n the additional small locks fitted into the zippers too were removed. My teal Skybag was cut in one place near the zipper and the rear of the bag smeared in black liquid. In the presence of Mr. Jha I confirmed that the following items are missing from my Teal Sky bag : Cash 4400 INR (the purse was lying open in the bag). Lindt dark chocolates 7 nos Needler chocolates packet had been opened Lacoste shoes worth 269 dirhams Two gift items - plates showcasing dubai @***.50 dirhams each Two corn beef tins - 2 nos @ 12 dhs each. I need Spicejet to answer my questions : 1. WHY WERE MY BAGS NOT LOADED INTO THE AIRCRAFT ON THE DAY OF MY FLIGHT 2. IF SPICEJET NEEDED TO INSPECT MY BAGGAGE, I COULD HAVE BEEN SUMMONED AND THE BAGS OPENED IN MY PRESENCE. I have been continuously calling up the number given to me by the ground staff for enquiry since the next flight arrived on 16th June. (Number given was 888270****). My bags came on the 16th morning flight. Why was I not informed ? Why was I informed on the 17th late morning ? I am making a formal complaint against Spicejet asking for reimbursement against my delayed baggage and reimbursement for the missing items. I am also complaining very bitterly against the lax treatment of the ground staff at the airport who instead of sympathizing with us and helping us with formalities was passing snide comments. She had the audacity to tell us that we should have taken a better flight and not opted for the cheap Spicejet ticekts. Continuous calls to the airport, customs staff and to the customer help line yielded no results. I was asked to be patient. My bags would be delivered. Yes, they were delivered but not in the condition I handed them over to the check in counter. It is the duty of the airline to hand over the bags in the same condition the bags were given to them. If there are any discrepancies, the airline has every right to open the bags, BUT ONLY IN THE PRESENCE OF THE TRAVELLER. I am marking a copy of this email to the consumer grievances cell too, in the hope that some justice is done. It's a shame that a reputed airline like Spicejet treats their customers without respect and cheats them out of their trivial purchases from abroad. I hope you bring the culprits to book n reimburse me my damages. I am sure the CCTV footages captured around the area at the airport will help you nab the culprits, if you are really honest and intent on doing so. Sincerely, Flavia Dourado Mob : 993092****
